Safety & Occupational Health Policy Statement

Outside In is committed to promoting and improving standards of Occupational Safety and Health to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all our employees, customer/clients and the public in general.

We constantly address our responsibilities and duty of care under current legislation and regulations. The development, implementation and application of our health and safety management plan and systems focuses on ensuring a high level of workplace safety and health.

We consider that the success of our health and safety management plan will depend on our ongoing commitment and diligence combined with a joint effort between management and employees with everybody having responsibilities in assisting to achieve our goals.

Management is responsible for ensuring:

  • Ensuring all provisions of the Occupational Safety & Health Legislation, Policy and Procedures are complied with
  • Approved Work Procedures and Codes of Practice are constantly monitored, and comply with requirements
  • All machinery and equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition
  • The provision of all necessary protective clothing and equipment for employees to minimise risk and exposure to hazards
  • Appropriate training for the well being of all employees
  • The provision of all necessary information, instructions and documentation to ensure ongoing workplace health and safety
  • All employees adopt and maintain safe work practices

Employees are responsible for:

  • Conducting themselves in a manner that ensures not only their own health and safety but also that of everyone around themĀ 
  • Adopting and maintaining safe working practices in accordance with procedures, policy and workplace instructions
  • Using appropriate personal protective clothing and equipment as required and/or directed
  • Reporting all accidents, injuries, incidents and damage to plant/equipment to management as soon as possible

Outside In considers accident prevention should be an integral part of our lives and work activities and ongoing awareness at home, work, on the road and during leisure activities is vital.
