Denise Staffa

Managing Director / Principal Landscape Designer / Principal Project Manager

Nature has always intrigued Denise and she has always had a strong sense of self when surrounded by the beauty of the outdoors.

Born and bred in the Kimberley’s, Western Australia, Denise has always been very attached to the Australian environment with its unique, naturally rugged appeal and rich textures. This was the raw foundation for her love of all that is outdoors and her desire to connect people with nature.

The parents of a very good school friend asked her one day if she would be interested in maintaining their garden and she jumped at the chance to be amongst the earth on the weekends. This was where Outside In began, from a plastic bucket and a rake.

A prominent feature of her landscape design skills is the ability to transform outdoor spaces using a practical eye and listening to her clients. To integrate natural and manmade elements into what was exists, whilst creating function, form and timeless beauty for many to enjoy is something which Denise strives to achieve.

The landscape design team implements landscape planning whilst Denise continually strives to recourse and research materials for individual works as well as managing design issues, risks, and quality of completed landscape design works.

Fiona Zijun Hunang

Graduate Landscape Architect UWA

Fiona finished the bachelor degree of landscape architecture at the University of Western Australia in 2010. During the 4 years study, she has built her knowledge by systematically studying large scale urban planning to private residential garden designs and history of landscape architecture and arts.

Fiona joined Outside In, in 2009 as a part-time team member whilst she continues her studies. After the graduation she continued work for the company by utilising and putting into practice her architectural landscape design knowledge combined with her expertise and skills in computer design.

With her passion and keenness to excel in her chosen career, Outside In’s desire to support such dedication now finds Fiona playing an important role in assisting with the producing high quality 2D and 3D landscape design conceptual and master plans, using the latest in landscape design rendering software, along with compiling planting guides, plant data information and cultural notes for individual landscape designs produced.

Justyna Zaniewska -Garland

Landscape Architect and Designer

Justyna Zaniewska started and completed her Landscape Architecture studies in Poland at Technical University of Cracow. She holds Master of Science in Landscape Architecture degree.

Her knowledge covers: Landscape Designing, Civil Engineering constructions for Landscape Architecture, History of Architecture and Garden Designing, Computer Technologies in Designing, Biological studies and Art.

Before she came to Australia she was working in Poland for As Studio in Cracow as an Designer, spent six months as an Architecture Consultant on an International Project for the Regional Institute of Culture (MIK) in Cracow and also for a year she was Lecturer Assistant at Landscape Designing and Theory of Landscape Architecture and Design classes at Technical Univ. of Cracow.

Her resume and experience boasts a myriad of projects such as Urban Landscape Designs of Public Spaces and Marker Squares, Private Gardens Designs, and Historical Conservation Designs.

Outside In welcomed Justyna in 2009, through an International Work Experience Program. Her skills, abilities and passion are so outstanding that now they proudly sponsor Justyna as a valued full-time team member.

Her presence and design input are inspiring, her passion and talent in artistic drawing through visual media enhances Outside In's leadership in 3D Landscape Designing and is now her primary role within the company. Along with Urban and Civil Landscape Design within the commercial sector, clients liaison, working drawings and specifications, site analysis and site surveying.

Marian Hennessy

Landscape Architect Student UWA

Marian is currently an undergraduate student of landscape architecture at the University of Western Australia and has been studying full-time for the past 3 and a half years. She has built her knowledge studying large scale urban and rural projects, as well as private residential gardens. She is particularly interested in the history of landscape architecture and sustainable design.

Marian joined Outside In, in 2011 as a part-time team member while she continues her studies. Marian has the full support of Outside In while she finishes her degree, which is indicative of their desire to see young designers succeed in their chosen career.

Marian creates high quality 3D landscape designs which allow the customer to experience their finished garden before any construction work takes place. Using the latest rendering software, along with planting information and site analysis tailored to the individual customers, Marian brings your two dimensional plan to life.

Kirsty-Anne Reynolds

Customer Relations & Office Management

Kirsty joined Outside In, in 2011 to initiate her dream of having a career within the landscaping industry. Outside In are extremely proud to have such eagerness within the company structure.

Kirsty now combines past extensive experience in office management, studying to obtain her Commerce and Economics degree and her desire to learn and grow within the landscaping industry. She has become the backbone to customer relations and administration, injecting an enormous amount of support for all team members.

Her primary role ensures high levels of communication and customer relations at all times, smooth running of the office, compiling project estimations and scope of works for client submittal, assisting the project manager with project budget, scheduling and contractual works.

Kirsty's passion and keen interest toward Outside In’s Architectural Screen Art and Lightboxes displayed in their showroom, enables her to assist clients with information and sales of these exclusive products.
